iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: FetchUp, Alphabetic, Hexius And More

Today's list is loaded with games, learning tools and a gaming utility app for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, so let's get right to it.

Tap Tap Ninja ($.99 -> Free): A running game where you control a high-flying ninja by simply tapping on the screen. A quick tap makes your ninja jump a short distance, while tapping and holding allows him to sail a bit further. Tapping again while in the air allows your ninja to do a double jump. Jump over everything in your way and don't fall down a trench in order to obtain the highest score. The game becomes more difficult as you progress, but there are power-ups to obtain.

Antrim Escape Full ($1.99 -> Free): A puzzle game where you must find clues and use items to solve the 20+ puzzles in hopes of eventually finding an exit out of the room. You will be required to not only search the room using touch controls, but also the accelerometer. The game features a unique storyline, realistic graphics and truly difficult puzzles.

MathGirl Number Garden ($1.99 -> Free): A math game designed for girls. Allows your child to hone their math skills by giving them addition and multiplication problems. Stars are earned for solving the problems correctly, which can be used to buy items for the garden. The game features four player slots, tons of different problems, and cute graphics.

FetchUp ($2.99 -> Free): You are a stranded alien, and you must catch the falling fruit in order to refuel your spaceship. Tilt your device side to side to control your character's left and right movement, and tap the screen on either side to make him face that direction, which makes it easier to catch the fruit. Power-ups fall from the sky as well as fruit, but so do bombs launched from the robotic helicopter monster. The game features OpenFeint integration as well.
FetchUp is available for free today only (8/20). It has a three-star rating, and a total of seven ratings.
iFighter 1945 ($.99 -> Free): A top-down vertical shooter that allows you to control a WWI aircraft using three different methods. The game features a total of four large levels, three difficulty settings, and boss battles at the end of each level.

The Crystals of Atlantis Deluxe ($.99 -> Free): A match-3 game that features top-notch graphics and an adventure storyline. The game contains a total of 70 levels, five locations, six power-ups, two game modes, and multiple levels of difficulty.

Alphabetic ($1.99 -> Free): A rather unique twist on the hidden object genre. The goal of the game is to find all 26 letters of the alphabet and tap on them as quickly as possible. The faster you find each letter, the higher the score. Each letter becomes more difficult to find as more letters are added to the mix, and sometimes they just won't stop flying around the screen, so you will need some dexterity as well. The game features multiple modes of play, different challenges and OpenFeint integration.

Manga Jump ($1.99 -> Free): Essentially Doodle Jump done manga-style. Make your way up by tilting your device from side to side in order to jump off of platforms, and tap the screen to shoot. As you climb, you will notice the environments changing, each of which feature different activities. The game features three difficulty levels, all kinds of mini-games and OpenFeint integration.

Hot Air: Pocket Devil ($.99 -> Free): An endless climbing game that features Pocket Devil's Mugat2s. Control the rising Mugat2 and his balloon via tilt controls, just make sure to avoid the falling sharp objects that will puncture your balloon. The game features power-ups, and the ability to post your scores to Facebook or Twitter.
Hot Air: Pocket Devil is available for free for the next week. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 180 ratings.
Universal:
Game Kit ($1.99 -> Free): A handy app for any gamer out there. Features three tools that will help you play almost any game: timer, dice roller and score board. The timer can be set from one second to 59 minutes and 59 seconds. You can throw anywhere from one to eight dice. And, the score board can host up to four players on the iPhone, and up to eight players on the iPad. The score board can also be exported and shared via email.

Hexius ($.99 -> Free): The general idea of the game is to tap and connect like-hexagons. By doing so, every hexagon in between the connection will be removed from the board. The more hexagons removed at once, the more points that will be scored. The game features a variety of power-ups, three challenging modes of play and OpenFeint integration.
Hexius is available for free through the weekend. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 39 ratings.
