iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Galcon Labs, 3D Camera, Crazy Parachute And More

Today's list features 3D photo creating apps for iPhone and iPad, wallpaper apps for iPad, a highly-rated real-time strategy game and much more.

Galcon Labs ($2.99 -> Free): A real-time strategy game set in space. Command your ships by sending them from planet to planet in order to conquer the universe. The game features a total of five game modes, each with its own unique strategy, and multiple levels of difficulty. Once you have mastered single-player, you can take your skills global with online multiplayer. The game also features global leaderboards.
Galcon Labs is available for free today only (8/21). It has a four-star rating, and a total of 198 ratings.
Tetra3D ($.99 -> Free): A 3D game of Tetris. Normal Tetris rules apply, but pieces can be rotated in nine different ways, and the playing field can be spun 360 degrees as well. Buttons are located on the screen for rotating pieces in various directions, and a slider drops the pieces to avoid accidental placement. The game features OpenFeint integration as well.
Tetra3D is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of six ratings.
3D Camera ($1.99 -> Free): Allows you to create your own 3D photos and share them with friends via Facebook and Twitter. The process basically consists of taking a left and right photo using your iDevice's built in camera, or you can import two side-by-side images from your Camera Roll. 3D photos can be viewed as grey or color. One requires the common red/cyan 3D glasses, while the other does not.
3D Camera is available for free through the weekend. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 69 ratings.
Crazy Parachute ($.99 -> Free): A skydiving game where you must be one of the first three to land safely on the ground. When the bird says go, tap the screen to dive out of the airplane, and then tilt and turn your device to avoid hitting obstacles. When the ground is approaching, tap the screen to deploy your parachute and land safely on the ground. If you are one of the first three to land, you move on to the next level. The game features eight power-ups, a variety of characters to choose from and online leaderboards.
Crazy Parachute is available for free today only (8/21). It has a three-star rating, and a total of 60 ratings.
Snake Again ($.99 -> Free): It's the classic game of snake. This is not a enhanced version of the game, it aims to be as close to the original as possible with monochrome and matrix graphics. The game features two modes of play -- classic and advanced, five speed levels, the ability to have a border and OpenFeint integration.
Snake Again is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 16 ratings.
DanceDanceRevolution S+ ($.99 -> Free): Just like the real thing, except your fingers act as your feet. Arrows scroll from the bottom of the screen to the top, and you must tap the pad in the middle of the screen at the very moment the arrows pass by the top. You are judged on how accurately you hit your steps, and how many you hit. The game only features three free songs, but 150 more are available via in-app purchase.
DanceDanceRevolution S+ is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 354 ratings.
iNvasions ($.99 -> Free): An orb launching game where you actually don't control your shooter's movements, you must simply time your tap as the launcher moves back and forth. The regular orb launcher rules apply, where you must match at least three-like colors to remove them from the board. Remove all orbs from the board to move on to the next level.
iNvasions is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 18 ratings.
Mr. Hat and the Magic Cube ($1.99 -> Free): Teaches your child the basics in vocabulary, spelling, counting, memory and coordination by having them solve puzzles and find missing pieces. The game features 3D graphics, and allows your child to choose the zone in which they want to play.
Mr. Hat and the Magic Cube is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 21 ratings.
iPad only:
Textures HD ($.99 -> Free): Contains over 150 full-resolution RAW photo textures that can be used as your iPad's wallpaper in both orientations.
Textures HD is available for free through the weekend. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 292 ratings.
Nature Images HD ($.99 -> Free): Just like Textures HD, only it features over 105 full-resolution RAW nature photos.
Nature Images HD is available for free through the weekend. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 37 ratings.
3D Camera Studio ($1.99 -> Free): Just like 3D Camera above, only this one has been redesigned to better utilize the iPad's screen.
