iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Poppit, 4x4 Jam, EZ-Digits HD Calculator And More

Poppit ($1.99 -> Free):  An orb launching game where you must make like-colored bubbles collide a number of times to pop them.  The number within each bubble indicates how many times they must collide before they will pop.  Every time a bubble is removed from the level, a new one is added to your queue.  Just don't run out of bubbles. To launch a bubble, simply slide your finger on the screen to align your shot and then let go to fire.  The game also features online leaderboards. Space Loops ($.99 -> Free): A puzzle game with the goal of forming closed loops.  You are given random puzzle pieces that can be rotated and moved around the screen before permanently being placed, but you only have a limited amount of time, so you must act fast.  Each piece must align with the next to form a closed loop in order to be removed from the board.  If you run out of space, the game is over.  The game features online leaderboards, social network integration, and intuitive controls. Disc Pool ($.99 -> Free): Pool meets shuffle board in this unique iPhone game.  Take turns lining up your shot and firing the discs into the four holes on the board. The game features three different forms of Disc Pool: Disc Pool school (100 different challenges), single player, and local multiplayer.  It also features stat tracking, and advanced physics. Disc Pool is available for free today only (8/8). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 84 ratings. 4x4 Jam ($.99 -> Free): An open-environment racing game that utilizes tilt controls.  Jump in your buggy and be the first to the gates to win the race in on or off-road courses.  The game features multiple camera angles, two modes of play, three difficulty levels, advanced vehicle physics, and OpenFeint integration.  More content is available via in-app purchase. 4x4 Jam is available for free today only (8/8). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 66 ratings. Critical Wave ($.99 -> Free): A dual-stick space shooter where you will be blasting everything that moves.  The game features tons of different enemies, upgradeable weapons, the ability to customize your game, two difficulty levels, and global leaderboards. Critical Wave is available for free today only (8/8). It has a four-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 10 ratings. Forecastica ($9.99 -> Free): Whether you are a day trader or just managing your own account, this is the app for you.  It allows you to keep track of stocks for Fortune 500 companies, and is able to predict when to buy or sell via a complicated, and apparently accurate, algorithm.  Features color-coded charts to make stock tracking easy, clear buy, hold or sell ratings, and more. Forecastica is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating, and a total of nine ratings. iPad only: EZ-Digits HD Calculator ($.99 -> Free): A digital calculator for your iPad loaded with features.  EZ-Digits displays two lines so you can see the total and new entry values all at once.  It sports a synchronized running tape that allows you to add text notes next to values so you can review your history without getting confused.  But that's merely skimming the surface, so just download it and see for yourself.  The app will be gaining iPhone compatibility shortly, so you will be doubling your investment just by downloading it today. EZ-Digits HD Calculator is available for free today only (8/8). It has a five-star rating, and a total of six ratings.
