Overview
If you're a Doodle Jump fan, but want more obstacles you'll feel right at home with Flight Doodle. You control a hot air balloon, and you simply tilt to guide it up as far as you can though ions are dropping at all times to burst your bubble. During your ascent you'll face other types of obstacles, and encounter various power-ups to help you along the way. There are separate iPhone and iPad versions of Flight Doodle, but everything below applies to both as they're pretty similar.
Features
You can customize your balloon in anyway you would like or can choose from predesigned ballon types. There are also multiple enemies to choose from including pins, darts, and bombs. The game features OpenFeint for online high scores, achievements, and challenges. The Good
The game is simple and easy to pick up and play in the same way as Doodle Jump. I can't but help comparing it to Doodle Jump with the same casual endless style trying to make it as high as you can with Doodle visuals. Anyone can enjoy the game as you just tilt, and dodge the falling pins which come at you hot and heavy.
Each new pin that is about to drop in is indicated at the top of the screen, and you'll also deal with lightning, wind, and rocks tossed from above. Luckily you can get boosts, shields, weapons, and shrinking abilities to name a few. The game has a nice quality to play one more time, and the OpenFeint incorporation improves the replay factor nicely for this style with the included challenges on top of high scores and achievements.
The doodle artwork is well done, and it's nice to be able to change your balloon, and the fall of enemies. The customizable balloon feature is a good addition as you can even add you own photos to the balloons. There is a subtle fun loving soundtrack as well to keep you in the light hearted mood of the game.
