Rumor: Flash-Enabled Mobile Browser SkyFire To Hit The App Store Shortly
August 26, 2010
We've told you a while ago already that the developers of SkyFire, the Flash-enabled mobile browser mostly known on other smartphone platforms, had begun working on an iOS app shortly after Opera Mini's approval.
Well, we're hearing from MobileCrunch today that they're pretty much done making it and will apparently be submitting SkyFire for iPhone early next week after a last round of beta-testing. Unfortunately, we don't have any more details for now, and of course, we have no way of knowing whether Apple will approve it (especially if they really did pack Flash in it). Nevertheless, if it happens, it's going to be very interesting to have yet another contender for Mobile Safari in the App Store.
What do you think, will Apple ever allow a third-party to bring Flash to iOS?
