Slayer Pinball Rocks HD Gets A Retina Update, Pinball HD And Pinball HD 4 iPhone Go On Sale
August 27, 2010
Gameprom's joint pinball effort with Sony Music Entertainment, Slayer Pinball Rocks HD, has received a fairly hefty update, and their equally appealing yet less noisy pinball titles, Pinball HD and Pinball HD 4 iPhone, have received limited time price drops. Pinball fanatics are in for a real treat this weekend.
Slayer Pinball Rocks HD is basically a heavy metal-themed version of Pinball HD. It controls the same, it has the same camera angles, and it's just as hard to put down. Until yesterday, however, it was lacking two important features: Retina support and local multiplayer. But now in v1.3 you can view those Slayer-inspired graphics on your iPhone 4 without seeing any pixelation. You are also now able to take on friends locally via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, whether they have an iPhone or iPad.
As for Gameprom's other pinball games, Pinball HD and Pinball HD 4 iPhone, well, they really weren't in need of new features anytime soon, so instead of adding something trivial, the developer has decided to place the two games on sale for a limited time.
Pinball HD, an iPad-only game normally priced at $2.99, is now available for $.99. Pinball HD 4 iPhone, an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and third-gen iPod touch compatible game normally priced at $1.99, is now available for $.99 for a limited time as well. Slayer Pinball Rocks HD, a universal game, is still available at its usual price of $2.99.
