WritePad for iPhone Updated

August 13, 2010

Phatware's WritePad for iPhone/iPod touch has recently been updated. The text editing software allows users to enter text using built-in handwriting recognition software. The 4.1 update includes the following new features:
- Support for iOS 4.0 and hi-resolution screen - New Twitter client, which allows users to compose Twitter updates in their own handwriting. - The new Styles feature allows users to change the WritePad appearance by manipulating text, page and ink colors, and fonts. - Improved spell checker and recognition quality. Addition of new words and simply using the application will further improve the recognition quality. - Support for inline gestures while writing: Return - to recognize written text immediately; Backspace - to delete the last stroke; Cut - to cancel the current recognition session. - New Email settings allow users to edit the email footnote and to provide default email addresses.
I've been using WritePad for iPhone/iPod touch for a while now, and love it. It is simple to use and, yes, it does recognize my handwriting in most instances. This update is a great step-up to an already-great writing product.

I would encourage our readers to spend the $1.99 and purchase WritePad for iPhone/iPod touch today in the App Store!
