AppAdvice has teamed up with Deceased Pixel in order to offer you a chance to win one of eight (8) promo codes for Super Mega Worm for iPhone and iPod touch ($.99). Super Mega Worm is a retro arcade game that has you controlling the Great Death Worm, Wojira (think graboids from Tremors), who has been unleashed by mother Earth as a last line of defense against the human race. Your goal is to eat humans, cows, buffaloes, and anything else that gets in your way to not only save the planet, but to also sustain your power. By eating multiple humans or creatures in a single swoop, you will be able to gain bonus points and move up the Game Center leaderboards. But, if you go too long without consuming anything, you will fail your mission. The game features basic controls that take a moment to get the hang of but are fulfilling in the end. A slider allows you to change the direction of the worm on the fly, and on-screen buttons allow you to move quickly to the surface, spit, and fire your special abilities. There is also an option to use tilt controls, although they are not nearly as precise. The 8-bit graphics only add to the gory experience, as do the retro tunes and sound effects.
