Long ago Mercades-Benz embraced the iPhone/iPod touch with its mbrace app. Now, Hughes Telematics, Inc., the brains behind the app has unveiled mbrace 2.0. The app allows you to interact with your Mercedes-Benz, by providing a number of services that would make any Ford owner jealous. These capabilities include the ability to lock and unlock your vehicle's doors and finding your car when you forgot where you parked. The newest version also includes concierge services. These include offering location based recommendations for entertainment and dining, as well as traffic info and directions. You can also request roadside assistance and locate the nearest Mercedes-Benz dealership. All this from within one app. While the mbrace app is free in the App Store, Mercedes-Benz users will need to sign up for the mbrace service. For more information, please visit the company's mbrace page. Prices start at $280 a year. However, all new Mercades-Benz users get the mbrace service free for six months.
