Ludia has given The Price Is Right the HD treatment so now you can bid on fabulous prizes on your iPad. This is the 2010 version with brand new sets as well as new prizes with more present day prices.
First off the iPad version is similar to the iPhone version meaning you get to play all the well known pricing games. You get to play the classic or three strikes mode with classic you get the traditional show from contestants row to a pricing game, to the showcase showdown, and finally the showcase. Three strikes mode let's you keep playing through that cycle until you get three strikes from losing contestants row or the showcase showdown.
The game lets you play solo or multiplayer, but in multiplayer if you play with less than four people the other spots aren't filled with computer players. If you've ever watched Price Is Right you’ll be familiar with most of the games, and it's so much fun to actually play the game rather than playing along at home. Whether you’re dropping chips on Plinko, going down the Golden Road, or putting on Hole In One it's a great experience.
The game looks great on the iPad, but there isn't a shift in perspective from the iPhone version. It's practically the same in every regard so if you own the iPhone version there’s nothing new here. The game still lacks the feel of control when spinning the wheel, and the ability to play just pricing games whenever you want.
If you're ever watched Price Is Right you'll enjoy playing it on the iPad as long as you haven't played the iPhone version. It's a should buy for $3.99, that will have you guessing the closest price without going over for a long time to come.
