Teen Driving Log Helps New Drivers Get Their License
September 6, 2010
Teen drivers and their parents will enjoy the new Teen Driver Log app by NerdGeeksGurus. The app helps new drivers track their required driving time in order to get a driver's license.
Since most states now require new drivers to drive a specified number of hours before taking a road test, this app is a great tool. Once downloaded, users enter their required hours, eligibility date and name. Users can even backup their information by sending it to an email address, or reset the data completely and start over.
Required hours can be set for both daytime and nighttime driving, which is an added plus.
Once the initial setup information is entered, Teen Driver Log really shows its strengths. Users simply click on a green "Start" button at the beginning of a driving session. The app catalogs the amount of time the user has driven in a particular session.
Once a session is completed, users can add additional information to the driving log. For example, you can add weather conditions, road type, and skills practiced.
As each session is added to the app, it automatically calculates how much driving time is still required before qualifying to take the road test.
Main Features include:
- One click start and stop feature makes logging your driving hours easy
- Customize your app by adding important information such as your name, eligibility date, the number of required hours (day and night)
- Track and edit your driving skills through the Driving Log Feature
- Select conditions such as road type, weather, skills practiced, and the adult passenger.
- Email a summary of to yourself or anyone you choose directly from the app
- Backup your Teen Driving Log data via an email attachment that allows you to easily import the information into your favorite spreadsheet program.
