Another Time Crisis Strikes The App Store

As far as classic arcade games go, Time Crisis is relatively young, having first been released in 1995. But that doesn't mean that it hasn't been able to garner a huge following, and Namco is looking to take advantage of that user base once again with their second Time Crisis title for iPhone, Time Crisis 2nd Strike.
Time Crisis 2nd Strike is, as should be expected, an on-rails tap shooter. You play as global agent Giorgio Bruno, tasked with taking down terrorists all over the world. You are able to do so via the tip of your finger by simply tapping on enemies as they enter your screen. Four different weapons are available to you, which can be switched between by tapping on them as well. Additional ammo can be obtained by shooting certain enemies.
The game features a total of 10 stages connected by cutscenes, which can be skipped. Beating a stage unlocks that same stage in the Time Attack and Score Assault modes. Time Crisis 2nd Strike also includes two different control methods, with the major difference between them being tilt or touch to reload. The usual achievements can be obtained as well, such as completing a level with 90 percent accuracy, further adding to the replay value.
But added replay value still may not be enough to make casual fans of the series and genre cough up $9.99, which is what the just-released title costs. Battle tested fans shouldn't have a problem, however, as Time Crisis 2nd Strike easily surpasses the original for the iPhone in terms of gameplay, graphics, and options.
