A New App Adds A Legendary Wurlitzer Jukebox To Your iPad

October 25, 2010
Andy Martinez just released his JukeBox HD app for the iPad. As you might expect, the app plays your music using a virtual jukebox. The app allows you to select which songs you’d like to play, either by artist, album or playlist. Once your songs are selected, the jukebox (which is inspired by the legendary Wurlitzer jukeboxes) begins to play in all its glory.

On the top of the jukebox, you’ll see your CD spinning. Album artwork on the CD provides for an ultra realistic experience. On each side, the jukebox shows a kaleidoscope of colors and flashing lights. Towards the bottom a burning flame is presented behind a chrome grill. The JukeBox HD app allows for background playing so you can listen to your music while using another app. I’ve enjoyed using this app, and definitely plan on using it often. Hopefully future updates will give users the ability to change the look and feel of the jukebox for added customization. JukeBox HD is available in the App Store today for $2.99.
