Boom! Today, another thousand new apps arrived in the App Store. Let me break it to you, most of them are really bad. Yet, there are a few somewhat interesting ones. Here they are:
Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote (iPhone) "turns your mobile device into a remote control for FiOS TV (HD set-top boxes only). Plus, you can flick photos to your TV and carry your FiOS TV Favorites list to any TV within the house."

TED (iPad) "presents talks from some of the world's most fascinating people: education radicals, tech geniuses, medical mavericks, business gurus and music legends. Find more than 700 TEDTalk videos (with more added each week) on the official TED app." This is simply amazing.
