Boom! Today, another thousand new apps arrived in the App Store. Let me break it to you, most of them are really bad. Yet, there are a few somewhat interesting ones. Here they are:
dockReader (iPhone) "is a social network and news reader that brings you updates from Facebook, Twitter, and your choice of RSS or Atom newsfeeds whilst your iPhone or iPod Touch is docked." It basically turns your iPhone into a digital ticker.
It goes for $.99.
Hacker News HD (iPad) allows you to "Read and save Hacker News articles and comments on your iPad." It even caches readability versions.
It goes for $1.99.
Buzzes (iPhone) "is a fast client for the Google Buzz™ service. Read and comment on your favorite buzzes, read through attached articles and flip through photo galleries."
It's free.
Github (iPad) "allows you the ability to access your github repositories and to browse through your file tree. You have the ability to view files and access different branches."
It goes for $1.99.
Flow (iPad) " is a great way to read your PDF-documents. Read your documents simple and elegant. Bookmark pages and set the brightness with ease. Nothing distract you from your primary task - reading." [sic]
It goes for $3.99.
Photo Fixer (Universal) " is an exciting new image processing application for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad that allows you to easily remove unwanted items from your photos! Unlike some other apps which simply crop out an entire slice of the photo, Photo Fixer uses advanced algorithms to actually fill in the background with appropriate textures."
