Confirmed: Apple Will Stream Today's Special "Back To The Mac" Event Live

October 20, 2010
Amazing news folks. Following an early press release from Apple Italia (spotted by Macstories this morning), Apple US just confirmed that they will be, as expected, streaming today's special event live on Apple.com. As a reminder, the "Back to the Mac" event as Apple is calling it, will be taking place today at 10am PST (or 7PM in Europe). We're not quite sure what it will be about, but according to the invitation, it will most likely be focusing on a new version of Mac OS X (possibly called Lion). However, we still believe there might be some interesting things in there for iDevice owners. Just like last time, the live video will only be available to Mac and iDevice owners (running iOS 3.0 and higher). Here is the official press release:
Apple® will broadcast its October 20 event online using Apple's industry-leading HTTP Live Streaming, which is based on open standards. Viewing requires either a Mac® running Safari® on Mac OS® X version 10.6 Snow Leopard®, an iPhone® or iPod touch® running iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad™. The live broadcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT on October 20, 2010 at www.apple.com.
We just can't wait. What about you? ***Update: We now have the link to the live video feed: http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/1010qwoeiuryfg/event/index.html
