Buyer Beware: Angry Turtle Ain't No Miami Shark

If you haven’t heard of Miami Shark please follow the link. It’s one of the best flash games of all time as you control a shark bent on destroying everything. You smash and eat anything on or in the water, and then jump out of the water to grab planes, and try pulling them down.
Sadly this game isn’t available for the iDevice, but one developer has tried to make a copy of it called Angry Turtle. The game is almost exactly the same just with a turtle. Except there are a few differences including the controls are terrible, the gameplay isn’t made very well, and it just is a game lacking in most regards.
I was really looking forward to playing a Miami Shark style game on the iPhone, but sadly this isn’t it. It’s so difficult to control to make the leap out of the water to the planes, and then grab on. All of the humor, and sheer amazement from Miami Shark is lost as things explode, but not in the same way.
You just have to touch stuff for it to explode, and people aren’t screaming or jumping off the boats in terror. Pulling the planes down into the water is a chore to say the least, and that’s if you do latch on with the bite button which rarely works, and most of the time you just miss because this game isn’t made for it to happen often. The game isn't as free flowing, and the light hearted fun is completely lost in frustration.
Angry Turtle isn’t even close to Miami Shark despite being so similar on the surface. Buyer beware this is one you should stay far away from. Don’t forget to try out Miami Shark on your computer though.
