Glu Raises The Stakes With World Series Of Poker For iPad

October 21, 2010
Glu has just released a brand new version of World Series of Poker Hold 'em Legend specifically optimized for iPad.  It arrives nearly a full year after the iPhone and iPod touch made its debut in the App Store. World Series of Poker for iPad finally allows you big screen gamers to build up your bankroll in single or multiplayer games, all of which sport high resolution graphics.  Single-player games consist of high-stakes tournaments, including the Main Event and the iPad-exclusive Tournament of Champions, and you can also play in straight up cash games to earn more money for the bigger events.  If you don't feel like building up your bankroll on your own, you can always purchase chips for $9.99 via in-app purchase. When you get tired of beating up on AI opponents, you can take your skills online or against a friend locally head-to-head via Bluetooth.  The online multiplayer mode allows for games of six and nine players, which can be played against iPad poker stars as well as iPhone and iPod touch. The game also features online leaderboards for both single and multiplayer modes, replays, the ability to view hand strengths, and complete stat tracking. World Series of Poker Hold 'em Legend for iPad is now available in the App Store for $4.99.
