iPhone Apps Gone Free: FaceFighter, ToMaCow, Tee Shot Tape Measure, And More

Today's AGF list is void of iPad apps, but we have some good iPhone ones including an app that allows you to fight anything, a cow defending action game, a tee shot distance tracker, and much more. Disclaimer: All prices are subject to change at any time and without notice regardless of stated free duration. iPhone: FaceFighter ($.99 -> Free): If it has a face, you can fight it. That’s FaceFighter‘s motto. The game allows you to import faces of anyone or anything and fight them using on-screen controls. Use your virtual fists or maybe even a weapon or two, and watch your opponent’s face get battered and bruised. The game also includes peer-to-peer multiplayer, so you can battle a friend locally. FaceFighter is available for free today only (10/21). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 1,117 ratings. TowerMadness ($2.99 -> Free): A 3D tower defense game that will have you defending sheep from aliens.  The game features over 30 maps, 16 enemies, 9 weapons, and an endless mode.  Any in-app purchases made in the iPhone version of the game transfer over to the iPad. TowerMadness is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 3,465 ratings. Orbium ($.99 -> Free): A puzzle game where you have to catch colored balls rolling on the top of the screen in your dial, and then release them into the dials below in order to blow them up.  The only way to blow up a dial is to fill it with four like-colored balls.  The game features 99 levels with progressive difficulty. Orbium is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating and a total of 25 ratings. ToMaCow ($.99 -> Free): An action game where you must defend your tomacows at all costs.  To do so, simply tilt your device to aim your tomato launcher's reticule at the oncoming aliens.  Some aliens are quicker than others, but the huge yellow alien can be dragged back towards all of the other aliens and used as a bomb.  The game feature local and global leaderboards as well. ToMaCow is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating and a total of 59 ratings. Sentinel: Mars Defense ($.99 -> Free): A premier tower defense game at the time of its launch in mid-February 2009. It featured some amazing graphics and environments, unique weapons and enemies, online leader boards, and the ability to challenge your friends directly.  To this day it is still one of the most enjoyed tower defense games in the App Store, and it's free to celebrate the impending release of Sentinel 3. Sentinel: Mars Defense is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating and a total of 379 ratings. Dice Match ($.99 -> Free): A matching game where you are simply required to match like-numbered dice.  You only have a limited amount of turns, so matching multiple dice at once will help you climb the leaderboards.  The game features a single mode of play with more available via in-app purchase, multiple dice themes to choose from, and Game Center integration. Dice Match is available for free today only (10/21). It has a three-star rating and a total of 171 ratings. First Contact ($.99 -> Free): What can only be described as a 3D Missile Command. Spin the planet towards the launch pad that is flashing red in order to find the incoming missiles.  Tap each missile to lock onto and destroy them.  The game features local and global leaderboards. First Contact is available for free until October 27th. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 57 ratings. Tee Shot Tape Measure ($.99 -> Free): Find out just how far your tee shot went with this app.  Simply set the location of where you tee off and then go to where your ball has landed.  It will calculate the distance based on GPS location.  It allows you to keep track of up to four people, save the distance for any shot, review average distances for each golfer, and more. Tee Shot Tape Measure is available for free for a limited time.  It has a three-star rating and a total of 13 ratings. Developers: If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:

• The app must be free for at least one whole day.
• It must have at least a three-star rating at the time it goes free.
• The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
