Monster Dash Update Adds Game Center Integration And All Kinds Of New Content

October 13, 2010
If you haven't had a chance to get acquainted with Halfbrick Studios' shoot first, ask questions later hero, Barry Steakfries, I'd say now is the time.  Monster Dash, the iPhone exclusive endless distance game featuring the one and only Steakfries, has been updated with Game Center integration, a new level with a new monster, and a new weapon. The new snow themed level, Yeti Heights, features abominable snowmen that climb up into your running path, forcing you to unleash a wave of bullets to stay alive.  The level also features a unique rendition of Jingle Bells to get you in the snowy spirit.  On top of that, you can now take down enemies with a powerful rocket launcher, which is able to lock onto targets, while also dealing collateral damage to any nearby hazards. The final addition to Monster Dash is Game Center.  Fans of the service can now choose to use it over OpenFeint, and doing so will transfer any previous high scores and achievements over as well.  The leaderboards allow you to compete for the greatest distance, total distance, total vanquished, and greatest vanquished.  The game includes a total of 26 achievements to earn, totaling 730 points. Monster Dash is available in the App Store for $.99.  Don't forget, Halfbrick also has another title coming out starring Barry Steakfries titled Age of Zombies, so keep an eye out for its release.
