Unconfirmed: NHL Game Center Live Is Coming To The iPad, October 7th

With apps like MLB at Bat, and NBA League Pass, the iPad has quickly become a favorite way for many people to view all kinds of live sporting events. By integrating a whole bunch of stats, commentaries, replays and even social features, these apps can take your sports watching experience to a whole new level, without taking the living room hostage.
If your thing is hockey, then you're in for a treat. According to information provided by the NHL to one of our well informed AppAdvice readers, Tony: The NHL will be making its NHL GameCenter Live augmented streaming service available on the iPad starting, October 7th. Here is what NHL Customer Web support told Tony via email:

That is, whether it will be an app or just an iOS-friendly HTML5 version of their service, but if this leak turns out to be legit, that detail doesn't really matter. [Thanks for the tip Tony!]
