PlayOn Mobile App Debuts On The App Store, We Shout For Joy!

PlayON Internet TV streaming fans, rejoice! After probably forcing yourselves into using the web-based HTML5 app of your favorite Internet TV service provider - you can now finally get to use it on your iPhone as a native app. The PlayON Mobile app is now available on the App Store after finally getting Apple's approval.
In case you're like me and have never used the app before, now is probably the right time to check it out and see what it has to offer. If you are a PlayON subscriber, well, I'm pretty sure you're already grabbing the app.
PlayON Mobile is a free app that lets you stream TV shows provided by the likes of Hulu, CBS, MTV, Comedy Central, SpikeTV and others. There are two caveats though. You need to get the desktop software, PlayON PC, running on your Windows PC and you must be enrolled in PlayON's subscription service. Subscription will cost you $39.99 during the first year, $19.99 after that. Also, if you really love the service, you can opt for the lifetime subscription which will cost you $79.99. Once you settled subscription matters and got the app installed on your iPhone, you can start streaming content via Wi-Fi or 3G.
To get you more excited about this, you might want to know that PlayON pulls content from Hulu, Netflix, Comedy Central, MTV, TV.com, PBS, SpikeTV and other major content providers. Have fun streaming, folks!
