Rapid Review: Doodle Impact - Fast Paced Shooter

Sometimes when you see a trailer you think a game looks like fun, but then you get some hands on time, and you're severely disappointed. That seems to be the case with Doodle Impact. Watch the trailer below, and you'll think this game is full of action, and worth checking out for only a buck.
Now after seeing the trailer we got the game, and its not very close to the trailer in terms of gameplay. The biggest thing is that you move the Doodle via tilt controls, but it jiggles around so much with absolutely no smooth movement. It's ragged movement across the screen, and then you tap to fire at the missiles.
The missiles come at you very slow to begin with, but then all of a sudden the entire screen is filled with missiles with no warning. The difficulty curve is just a flat line, and then a 90 degree spike. The waves come at you repetitively from game to game with limited randomization.
The graphics are basic, and the sound effects are simply annoying. The game is just bad, there is really no other way to put it. Once you've played through one game you'll never want to play it again with no engaging or fun aspects contrary to the trailer. The fast paced action is no where to be found. Another aspect missing is the ability to fire at a high rate as the game doesn’t pick up your consecutive tapping.
You can avoid Doodle Impact for any price, as it should be free.
