Miss Spider’s Bedtime Stories Joins The iPad Lineup
October 14, 2010
When the iPad debuted in April, one of its first titles amazed children of all ages. Miss Spider’s Tea Party for the iPad has been a best seller since its introduction. In fact, you can now find the title in the App Store in six different languages.
Recently, Miss Spider’s Bedtime Stories joined the App Store. Created by Callaway Digital Arts, Inc. the app is as good as the original, and in one respect, better.
The app includes five features, similar to the original. These include: Read, Watch, Match, Paint and Puzzle.
Read offers a traditional reading experience: your child can follow by themself or with the soothing voice of a narrator. Each page is impressive in its detail, offering both text and an interactive graphic. Music plays throughout, and can be turned off.
Watch tells Miss Spider’s Bedtime Stories with video. This is where the app truly stands out, compared to the original. The video is absolutely amazing in its detail, offering brilliant color and narration. Clocking in at 12 minutes, the video is short enough that your young child won't get bored, but long enough that it shouldn’t be considered just a clip. The original app had a video feature too; however, it was only five minutes long.
Match offers two matching games. One is 16 cards, while the other is 30 cards.
Paint allows your child to paint in color on a virtual black and white print. These "paintings" can then be saved to the iPad’s photo app for easy emailing.
Finally, Puzzle offers six different puzzle games, with either 6 or 12 pieces. Each puzzle, like the app itself offers bright colors that your child will enjoy.
Miss Spider’s Bedtime Stories is priced, for a limited time, at $7.99 in the App Store. Your child will be thrilled.
