Boom! Today, another thousand new apps arrived in the App Store. Let me break it to you, most of them are really bad. Yet, there are a few somewhat interesting ones. Here they are:
The Extreme Sports App (iPhone) is a "tool for recording your sport activity. Use it to measure your speed, distance, g forces, rotations, altitude and more. It's also a real-world, socially connected check-in app with a plethora of other fantastic features and options."

AppSwitch (iPhone) is a sort of task manager for your iPhone. It won't let you shut down apps, but it can tell you which ones are open and let you jump to them directly. It also provides you with all sorts of other insights about iOS.

Ars Technica (iPad) is the official iPad app of the Conda Nast-owned technology website. It includes offline reading as well as the option to access their premium content if you have an account.
