The new Go Coach Soccer app offers coaches and students alike a new way to brush up on the fundamentals of the game. Developed by Human Kinetics for the iPhone/iPod touch, the app offers 19 video clips and 23 animations. These show users 24 skills and 30 activities to better organize their practice time.
The app also includes supplemental coaching tips and advice, safety guidelines and checklists. It even offers guidance on season and practice plans which its developer says will “manage team activities beyond the Xs and Os.”
The videos and animations are clear and load quickly. And, each skill and activity is also enhanced by added tips and photos.
If there is one criticism, it is that the app wasn’t designed for the iPad. Go Coach Soccer is a perfect on field companion for any coach; but it would look so much better on the iPad’s larger screen.
