New Multitasking Bar Found In iOS 4.2 For iPhone

Many people have been diving into the new features of the iPad multitasking dock (in the iOS 4.2 Gold Master release). A hidden feature that many may have missed is an additional screen added to the dock. When sliding twice to the left, a new screen gives users the option to change volume and use AirPlay. Ironically this same feature was added by the jailbreak community only days before the gold master release.
Unfortunately, there is no option for brightness control on the iPhone. With the inclusion of AirPlay in the dock, for all multitasking iOS devices, it appears that Apple is pushing it to be a huge feature. It makes us wonder if AirPlaying video will be simple for any app, even if the developer doesn’t want it to be enabled.
An interesting question: What if Apple starts incorporating more system controls in the dock? Would Apple add Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other functions? What features would you like to see Apple add to the dock? Let us know in the comments below!
