Nib Clock Update Makes A Unique App Even Better

One of the more unique clock apps for the iPhone/iPod touch was recently updated. The Nib Clock app includes many new features which look great on the iPhone 4’s Retina display. Created by Hybridworks, Inc., the app is a simple, yet stylish analog clock which works in both profile and landscape mode. It includes a large number of icons which will make your clock even more extraordinary. Icons include: a fish, a whale, and a boat among many others.

Unlike other clock apps, the Nib Clock lets you determine how the hands of the clock move. You can select normal, abrupt, or smooth. Depending on the movement you select, the icons may look amazing or quite weird. For example, a snowflake icon will drift in and around the clock quickly or slowly, depending on your clock hand movement selection.

The latest update includes:

• Support for iPhone 4 Retina Display
• Support for iOS4 multitasking (iPhone 3GS onwards with iOS4)
• Landscape layouts
• Icon size switching (large, medium, small)
• Color switching (white added)
• Two new types of icon animation (StarFish, Scissors)
• Dial plate customization (choice of 5 types of plates)

The app isn’t for everyone. For example, there is no alarm clock. Also, the constant icon movement might frustrate some over time. Still, if you are looking for a unique clock, this is it. Nib Clock is available for $1.99 in the App Store.
