PCWorld: Apple Smokes The Competition

November 30, 2010
When a PC magazine calls you the “Golden Apple” you must be doing something right. PCWorld readers who took part in the publication’s annual Reliability and Service Survey agree when it comes to Apple. Apple “smoked the competition in the desktop, notebook, and smartphone categories,” according to PCWorld. They state:
Can Apple do no wrong? Indeed, 2010 was a remarkable year for the world's highest-valued tech company. In addition to unveiling the iPad, a touchscreen tablet that launched a new genre of mobile computing devices, Apple enjoyed record sales and profits. And now it's won the trifecta by smoking the competition in our reader poll.
While rated "above average" the Apple iPhone actually scored slightly lower than Motorola handsets.

AT&T was rated the “loser” in the wireless provider category. This is just one further example of why the Apple/AT&T exclusivity agreement should end.

Asus and Motorola also rated highly in the survey, while Dell and HP had a bad year in terms of customer reliability and service. PCWorld surveyed more than 79,000 of their readers who responded to online and print advertisements, as well as e-mail messages, about the survey.
