New Set Of Apps Adds Bookshelf Backgrounds To Your iPhone

Changing the look of your iPhone is a daily obsession for many. Changing the device’s background for holidays, events or your current mood swing has become commonplace for some time. Now, Appwill Inc. has released two apps that take iPhone backgrounds to a new level. Both the Shelf Backgrounds and Wallpapers Free app as well as its Pro counterpart bring you 1,000 plus backgrounds for your home screen. Each one makes your app icons look as though they are sitting on a shelf.

I’ve been using this app for some time and enjoy it. The choice of backgrounds look amazing with my iPhone 4’s Retina display. Plus, the list of choices continues to grow. A recent app update allows you to add patterns or an overlay to an existing background, which is also nice.

Each app is similar to the other in the number of backgrounds and customization tools. However, the free version limits background downloads to 10. With the Pro version, you can perform unlimited downloads. Both the Shelf Backgrounds and Wallpapers Free app, as well as its Pro counterpart are available in the App Store. The Pro version is just $.99.
