BarMax, a $1,000 application for law students, just hit the iPad, and it's actually well worth the price. If you've previously heard about BarMax, it's most likely because it is the most expensive application in the App Store. Unlike other $1,000 applications in the past, this one won't get removed any time soon, and this isn't a joke either.
BarMax is an application that aims to help law students pass the bar exam. The application includes two months of lectures, practice exams and essays, live support, and much more. Although $1,000 seems expensive, keep in mind two things: you are getting about 1GB of information, and most bar exam preps can cost $3,000 to $4,000. In fact, according to TechCrunch, BarMax LLC made $200,000 in revenue just from the BarMax CA and NY apps, each priced at $999.99. With the iPad edition, this application is sure to become more popular since it has been configured for a larger screen, allowing the course to be taken with ease.
Although this app won't appeal to most users, it is sure to please some law students with its pricing and features. BarMax CA for iPad is now available in the App Store.
