Carcassonne's iPad Update Now Available In The App Store

December 10, 2010
Well German-style tile-based board game fans, it appears dreams really do come true.  Carcassonne's long-awaited iPad update is now available in the App Store! So grab your 30-pin USB cable or find a Wi-Fi connection for your iPad and start downloading it as soon as possible. Carcassonne v2.0 finally brings full iPad support to the best tile-based board game available in the App Store; and let me just say that my meeples have never looked better.  Having more screen real estate makes the game even easier to control and, as a result, even more enjoyable, if that's at all possible.  The UI has been changed up quite a bit as well, but everything is still there, just in more convenient places. Universal compatibility isn't the only thing that's new in Carcassonne v2.0.  The game now features a new AI player (Hans) specifically designed for the newbies out there.  It also features more in-depth player statistics and a global quick play top 250 ranking. Carcassonne's price has been raised from $4.99 to $9.99 due to the addition of iPad support, but the developers gave everyone a fair warning, so it's kind of hard to complain.  If you didn't have a chance to grab it before the price went up, don't freak out.  Carcassonne is worth the $9.99 asking price. It's that good.
