Carcassonne's iPad Update Being Submitted Tomorrow, Get It For $4.99 While You Still Can!

December 6, 2010
The Coding Monkeys have announced that they will finally be submitting their long-awaited iPad update to Carcassonne tomorrow.  As a result, the game's price will be raised to $9.99, which means you have less than 24 hours to nab it at its current price of $4.99 and save yourself some dough. This price increase isn't out of the blue, although it may appear that way to some.  From the moment Carcassonne was made available to iPhone and iPod touch gamers in June, The Coding Monkeys made it very clear that a free universal compatibility update was in the works and with it would come a price increase.  Thankfully, the team is giving you iPad gamers one last warning, and we are just helping spread the word. For those of you who haven't given Carcassonne a try yet, there is no better time than the present.  It's a German-style tiled-based board game that requires you to strategically place randomly selected tiles on a grid along with a limited number of 'meeples' in order to take over large chunks of land and erect massive fortresses.  It's really a beautiful game with great attention to detail, and offers all kinds of different ways to play, including online multiplayer and a unique Solitaire mode. Carcassonne is available in the App Store for $4.99 until the end of the day today.  After that, its price will be raised to $9.99.  If you are thinking of waiting for a sale, don't.  Carcassonne hasn't once dropped in price since its launch in June, and after such a substantial update, the likelihood of a sale taking place anytime soon is pretty slim.
