Google's Chrome WebApps Look Great On The iPad Too

What You're Seeing Isn't The New York Times App, But Rather The Company's New Webapp in HTML5.
Google has unveiled their new Chrome Web Store, which is actually big news for iOS users too. The store will showcase native looking apps that are built in HTML5, CSS3 and advanced JavaScript programming. The New York Times is one of the first organizations to have a place in the new storefront. And, the webapp looks amazing on the iPad.
Located at http://nytimes.com/chrome, the site looks similar to the New York Times for iPad app that's available in the App Store. However, this webapp runs on HTML5. Each article is beautifully arranged and is extremely quick to load in mobile Safari.
The webapp’s best features are under its hood. Users can easily customize their viewing experience using 10 different themes.

Apple device owners can also use familiar gestures such as swiping to go from page to page. Again, all within a webapp.
Users will also be able to view content without the need for an Internet connection. When you enter the webapp, up to 10 MB of data is automatically downloaded to your device for later viewing.
From what I've seen, the Chrome Web Store could be pretty cool. It will certainly offer great apps for iOS users too. Of course, this assumes they are written in HTML5!
