Invader ($.99 -> Free): A side-scrolling survival game where you control a large mech via tilt controls and wipe out all of your enemies using a variety of weapons. The game features power-ups, three difficulty levels, and OpenFeint integration.

Photophun ($.99 -> Free): Turn your own photos into puzzles. Simply import an image from your Camera Roll, choose one of the three puzzle types, and then start putting it together. Imported images can be scaled in order to focus on a specific area. If you are having difficulties at any time, just take a peek at the finished puzzle.

TapReader ($1.99 -> Free): A QR code reader that's able to decode URL, email, phone, SMS, vCard, meCard, and text. It supports both portrait and landscape orientations.

Doraemon Fishing ($1.99 -> Free): Catch fish in the tank by tilting your device to move the pole and then tap to drop the line. Once the line is dropped you are unable to manipulate where it goes. Each fish has a different value, but you must avoid the shark at all costs.

Dawn of the Dead™ ($.99 -> Free): A dual-stick shooter that features a story based on the hit film by the same name. You can play as one of three characters, each with different attributes, as you try to survive the zombie infection that has plagued the Crossroads Mall. The game also features multiple modes of play, unlockable weapons, and OpenFeint integration.

Universal:
Fluid FX ($.99 -> Free): Powered by the Academy Award-winning fluid dynamics technology from Autodesk Maya, this app allows you apply effects to your own photos or just have fun firing effects from your fingertips. The app also allows you to save your creations to your library, record animations, and it can even apply effects all on its own as a sort of screen saver.
Fluid FX is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating and a total of 73 ratings.
Project Peril ($.99 -> Free): A side-scrolling shooter where you must defend yourself from space pirates by running and gunning through 20 levels. The game features the ability to purchase new items and weapons between levels, an unlockable survival mode, and OpenFeint integration.

Crazy_Fist ($.99 -> Free): A 3D distance game where you must properly time your taps to punch through walls or jump over them. The game features multiple environments, a tutorial, and OpenFeint integration.

Note To Self ($.99 -> Free): A simple app that allows you to quickly capture a thought before you forget it. It basically allows you to write up a note, geotag it, and email it to yourself in fewer taps than most apps.

Gift Drop ($.99 -> Free): Fly through the sky as Santa and deliver presents by dropping them through the yellow chimneys. You will want to avoid smoking chimneys, because they will burn up the presents. The game features two game modes, wind that affects your present drop, and local leaderboards.

iPad:
Bar Star HD ($4.99 -> Free): A time management game where you must keep your patrons happy by serving them the proper drinks. The game features 35 levels, 12 customers, four guest stars, and the ability to upgrade your bar.

Akinator HD ($1.99 -> Free): An app that is able to read your mind and tell you who you are thinking of based on your answers to its questions. All you have to do is think of a real or fictional character and Akinator will try to guess who it is. It features a two-player mode as well, and requires an Internet connection.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- The app must be free for at least one whole day.
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
