Letter To Jane Magazine Is A Nice Discovery

December 2, 2010
New Independent Magazine App Is An Refreshing Discovery There is quite a bit of buzz about Richard Branson’s Project iPad app, and Rupert Murdoch’s upcoming “The Daily.” But there are other magazine apps worth a look. One of those is the "Letter to Jane Magazine" app for the iPad. Simply titled “Late Autumn,” the magazine's latest issue is innovative and looks absolutely perfect on the iPad. It is truly a nice discovery. Here is a video:

Created by Portland, Oregon-based Tim Moore, the app features interviews and contributions from such names as Scott Sternberg from Band of Outsiders, the musicians and members of
Best Coast, and Chrissie Miller from the design house, Sophomore.

The app’s clean and intuitive style focuses more on the content and not on recreating a print experience. As such, Letters From Jane feels like a more natural iPad experience compared to similar apps. Each article is beautifully arranged and overlaid onto subtle backgrounds, which enhances the reader’s experience.

For just $.99, the app is worth your time and comes strongly recommended. Get Letter To Jane Magazine: Late Autumn today in the App Store.
