QuickAdvice: Famous Quotes At Your Fingertips With Quotes+
Quotes+ (Free) by xNeat.com is an enormous, easy to use database of famous quotes with a charming user interface. You can look up quotes by author, subject matter, keyword or simply shuffle to view random quotes.
Go to the index and you’ll see icons at the top: a paper icon for a list of subjects, a person icon for the list of authors, and a search icon to bring up a window to type in keywords. The search feature is nice, because sometimes you have a quote on the tip of your tongue and you want to figure out precisely what the quote is and who said it.
Once you find a quote you like, tap the colored triangle at the bottom right corner to bring up a list of options. The sound icon on the left allows you to share the quote; Copy (so you can paste it wherever), Email, SMS, Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter. The “t” icon brings up a list of fonts, so you can change up the style before sharing. The star icon allows you to favorite the quote for easy access later. And finally, the face icon on the right opens up the Wikipedia entry on the author.
Back to the main page, tap Shuffle to swipe through random quotes. Tap Favorites to see a list of the quotes you have favorited. And, tap Settings to link to your Facebook and Twitter accounts and choose how you share the quote (with or without quotation marks and author attribution). You will also find a color picker and you can select any color of the rainbow to be the app’s theme.
If you’re looking for quotes, sure, you could search the net and eventually find what you’re looking for. But Quotes+ puts them all together in one attractive, charming package. Snap it up while it’s on sale for free - it won’t be free for long.
