Sweater Booth - Christmas Cheer Maker ($0.99) by go forth apps is a fun little app that lets you put a tacky Christmas sweater on the people in your pictures. Are the guests at your party dressed a little too tastefully? Slap silly sweaters on them to spice up your photos. Have you been fantasizing about getting that family photo where everyone wears a matching sweater but can’t get the fam to comply? Now you can simply paint the same sweater onto each and every person, even the family pets.
Simply load a photo or take one in-app. Use the zoom tool to zero in on the area you want to “sweaterify”. Tap the finger icon at the bottom and then paint the area (your subject’s shirt, or pants, or whatever) with your finger as desired. You can tap the paintbrush icon in the bottom right corner to adjust the diameter of your paintbrush. You can also select eraser to fix any mistakes you may have made.
You can paint up to two different sweater patterns in one picture. Tap the pattern icon in the top right corner to select a pattern and texture for each sweater. Fine tune your look by tapping the magic wand icon in the bottom left hand corner. There can you adjust the sweater’s brightness and the size of the pattern.
When you are finished, Save your creation to your camera roll. You can also Share via email, Facebook, or Twitter.
You’re not going to get a particularly realistic look -- the sweaters are just a patch of color and texture, as you can see from my pictures -- there is no depth or dimension.
