Outfit7 has released the seventh app in their Talking Friends series, Talking Santa. As you may have deduced from the title, this one has a holiday theme instead of the usual animal or robot theme.
Talking Santa, like other apps in the series, features an animated and interactive clay character, which, in this case, is the big jolly guy in the red suit. Santa can be poked, slapped and tickled, and if you leave him alone for too long, he will do whatever he pleases.
The app also features three different interaction buttons -- cookies, presents and a giant snowball -- which can be used to create unique scenes that can be recorded and shared with friends via Facebook, YouTube or email. You can also share customized holiday greetings with friends and family using two unique scenes.
Of course, you can actually talk to Santa, as the name of the app suggests, and he will repeat what you say in his own words.
Talking Santa for iPhone is available for $1.99, while Talking Santa for iPad is available for $3.99. Keep in mind that if you are using an iPod touch, your headset must have a microphone to utilize the talking portion of the app. Also, early iDevice owners will experience some performance issues during animations.
