ToonCamera Receives A Major Update - We're Giving Away 10 Copies To Celebrate!

When Code Organa's ToonCamera first hit the App Store, I couldn't help but be impressed by how easy it was to produce unique cartoony images. At that time, however, it did have a couple of drawbacks, specifically the lack of a video recording function and a relatively low image resolution. But like any good iOS app developer would do, Code Organa addressed all of my concerns and then some in ToonCamera's latest update. To celebrate this latest release, we will be giving away 10 promo codes, but first a little bit about ToonCamera v2.0.
Since ToonCamera already applied the rotoscope effect -- a technique used in animated films like A Scanner Darkly where frames are painted over with artistic strokes -- in real-time, it only made sense to allow you to record what you were seeing, not just snap a picture, and that's just the case in version 2.0. ToonCamera now features a refresh-like button that allows you to toggle between the original camera mode, a new video recording mode, and another new mode that allows you to apply this unique effect to photos you have already taken.
All three modes allow you to apply the nine different cartoon and art effects combinations, while also providing you with the ability to upload your creation to Facebook or Twitter, share it via email, or save it to your library. Image resolution has also been improved, jumping from 480x320 to 640x426.
ToonCamera is normally priced at $1.99, but to celebrate this major update, it's marked down to $.99 for a limited time.
