Apple's App Store made its official—and long over due—debut on Twitter this afternoon, and the account took off like a run-away freight train.
Within just a few hours, the Cupertino-based company's Twitter-verified account landed its 50,000th follower and continues to grow rapidly.
Really, it shouldn't come as that big of a surprise considering the App Store just celebrated its 10 billionth app download this past week. To put that in perspective, that's enough apps for every single person on the planet to have one, and we'd still have a few billion apps left over.
Besides the initial launch tweet welcoming the App Store to Twitter and promising followers exclusive offers, we've only seen two tweets thus far; one for Nike Training Club, and one for Tiki Towers 2: Monkey Republic, which we announced last week.
If you consider yourself a dedicated app-oholic, you should probably follow @AppStore. I know I will.
