Celebrate Fashion Week In Style With This New iPad App
January 25, 2011
February in New York City means more than blustery weather. It also heralds the arrival of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and the first of the four most important fashion shows of the season. Now, a new app has arrived and it showcases everything you need to know, not just about the shows, but about fashion itself.
The Cut on the Runway app gives you the world of fashion at your fingertips, not just in New York, but also from each of the upcoming shows. See collections from New York, London, Milan, and Paris.
Created by New York Media, LLC., the app includes a “Lookfinder” tool, so you can search over 100,000 runway looks by specific criteria. These include: clothing type, color, trend, designer, season, and model.
According to Ben Williams, Editorial Director of nymag.com:
"Its intuitive design makes flipping through countless high-res runway images quick and easy, and the app includes several features that are unique to the iPad market, such as the ability to search looks by color, fabric and trend, reader rankings of runway looks, and fully integrated hourly fashion news from The Cut.”During Fashion Week in each city, users will be able to browse runway shows and videos from each venue, many in real time. The shows for the Fall 2011 collections are:
- New York, February 10-17
- London, February 18-23
- Milan, February 23-March 1
- Paris, March 1-9
