CES: Verizon's CEO Doesn't Mention iPhone In Keynote Address

January 6, 2011
Verizon’s CEO Ivan Seidenberg discussed a lot during today’s keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show. But, he didn’t use the word “iPhone” once. Despite continued signs that a Verizon iPhone is coming, Seidenberg instead focused on his company’s LTE and FiOS networks. According to MacRumors, the presentation discussed:
“An integrated data access environment, and included the appearance of executives from Time Warner, Motorola, and Google to demonstrate such concepts as "TV Everywhere" that would allow customers to view their video content on a variety of devices over a number of different connections, as well as next-generation mobile devices and software that can take advantage of Verizon's LTE network speeds.”
Since Apple is not attending the Las Vegas show, no one expected an announcement regarding a Verizon iPhone. And, there wasn’t one.
