Chopper 2 Receives Game Center Support, Mac Control, And A Price Cut
January 5, 2011
Chopper 2 made a big splash when it first hit the App Store back in late July mostly thanks to its unique connectivity features, like controlling the helicopter on your iPad by using your iPhone or iPod touch and the utilization of video-out. Now that a little more time has passed, indie developer Majic Jungle has had a chance to implement another nifty feature, and the best part is, you will have a chance to test it out at a much lower price.
To coincide with the launch of Chopper 2 for Mac, which will be available in the Mac App Store tomorrow, Majic Jungle has implemented the ability to control the Mac version of the game from your iDevice. This works just as it does from iDevice to iDevice over Wi-Fi, and you can see it in action in the video embedded below.
Another addition in the nifty feature department is the ability to sync game data across multiple devices as long as you utilize Game Center or OpenFeint. The feature can be switched on in the options menu.
Chopper 2 also now has leaderboards and achievements via Game Center. The game includes leaderboards for every level included in the game and for each difficulty level. It also includes a total of 56 achievements to obtain, totaling 805 points.
To celebrate the launch of Chopper 2 for Mac, Chopper 2 for iOS is on sale for $.99 for a limited time. At this price, you just have to give this highly polished side-scrolling arcade game a try.
