iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Push Panic, Immix, Protector: The Planes, And More

Today's AGF list includes a frantic matching game, another matching game where you must combine primary colors, a tower defense game full of wizards and warriors, and much more.

iPhone:

Protector: The Planes ($1.99 -> Free): Assemble your army of wizards and warriors in order to lay waste to the approaching evil.  This classic tower defense game features 10 units, 32 maps, four difficulty levels, and Game Center integration.

Protector: The Planes is available for free today only (01/12). It has a four-star rating and a total of 43 ratings.

Tap 2 Dance Lil' Urban Dancer ($1.99 -> Free): Break dance to music pulled directly from your library by tapping and swiping the circles with as many fingers at once as possible.  The game features Game Center integration as well.

Tap 2 Dance Lil' Urban Dancer is available for free today only (01/12). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 11 ratings.

Push Panic ($.99 -> Free): Tap as many like-colored boxes as you can, or are willing to, in order to create large chains and score tons of points.  You don't want to wait too long to remove the blocks from the screen, however, because if they reach the top, the game is over. The game features a total of 50 levels, four modes, and Game Center integration.

Huebris ($.99 -> Free): You are required to match blocks to their appropriate backgrounds, but it's much easier said than done since each block is only able to move in its own specific way -- think chess rules.  The game features two modes, 45 levels, and online leaderboards.

Huebris is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating and a total of 133 ratings.

Dog Expert Test ($.99 -> Free): Answer a series of questions about different breeds of dogs, dog shows, stages of development, training, and much more in order to prove that you truly are a dog expert.

BootPrint - Pocket Survival ($.99 -> Free): Launch this app before heading out on a hike or any other excursion where you think you might lose your cellular signal.  It will check for and save the closest cellular tower data automatically, so when you lose your signal and need it back, it can direct you to that location.  When your signal is lost, just relaunch the app and wait for a GPS fix.  Then start turning and walking until the numbers on the screen match up.

BootPrint - Pocket Survival is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating and a total of 10 ratings. Universal:

Greenit! ($1.99 -> Free): Take a picture of a location outdoors and then make it green by adding trees, solar panels, and other objects in order to prove how much more environmentally friendly that spot can be.  Images can be shared via Twitter, Facebook, or email.

Greenit! is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating and a total of 20 ratings.

Little Tadpoles Searching for Mommy -by Rye Studio™ ($.99 -> Free): Tells the story of little tadpoles who are in search of their mother.  The app supports a variety of languages and features Retina graphics, colorful illustrations, professional audio narration, and a sleep mode.

Immix ($.99 -> Free): Combine primary colors to form secondary colors, which can then be removed from the board by dragging your finger across two or more like-colored blocks.  The game features five modes, an in-depth tutorial, and OpenFeint integration.

Fruit Salad ($.99 -> Free): Drop fruit from the sky and hope it falls into the moving basket below in this plinko-style game.  It features 25 levels, 10 fruits, and power-ups to obtain.

  • The app must be free for a 24 hour period.
  • It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
  • The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
