Wispin ($.99 -> Free): Help Wispin wipe out the Blooper infestation by guiding him into the colorful creatures via tilt or touch controls. The trick is that he must be the same color as the creatures he is running into, which can be toggled with a wheel on the right-hand side of the screen. The game features two modes, power-ups, Retina graphics, and Game Center integration.
Wispin is available for free today only (01/29). It has a four-star rating and a total of 46 ratings.
Touch Fly ($.99 -> Free): As the name of the game describes, touch the screen to fly and release to fall to help the rabbit avoid the flying tortoise shells. The game features different power-ups and items that will boost your score, a live ranking system, and two themes.

3 Kingdoms TD ($2.99 -> Free): Like most tower defense games, 3 Kingdoms TD requires you to place a variety of towers all over the battlefield in order to stop the enemy invasion. What makes this one special, however, is that you are also able to control a single hero wh0 can move all around the battlefield via touch controls to whack enemies and cast spells. The game features two modes, four levels, upgradable weapons, and OpenFeint integration.
3 Kingdoms TD is available for free today only (01/29). It has a four-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 15 ratings.
Universal:
SkySafari Lite ($2.99 -> Free): Don't let the word "lite" fool you -- this powerful intro version of SkySafari allows you to discover and view detailed info for nearly 120,000 stars and 220 of the best-known star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies in the sky above. You can search the sky by touching and dragging your finger across the screen, by rotating your device (as long as it is equipped with a compass), or just by searching the database.
SkySafari Lite is available for free today only (01/29). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 95 ratings.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
