Don’t Be Surprised If The iPad 2 Arrives In Stores Soon After Its Debut
February 28, 2011
When the iPad debuted in January 2010, it wasn’t released to the general public until the beginning of April. Apple will announce the second generation device on Wednesday, March 2. The iPad 2’s actual release date could come just days later.
According to Apple Insider, Apple is planning a “large scale, consumer-oriented product roll out” right after the Wednesday announcement. This means a Wi-Fi iPad 2 model could be on the street in just a few days. Both 3G GSM and 3G CDMA models would follow soon after.
The iPad is expected to be quicker and thinner than the current model and will include a camera.
Two questions not yet answered: First, will it come with a smaller price tag than the original? Second, where will the device debut on its first day of its release? While we know the U.S. will get the device first, which countries will follow?
