EA Reveals Screenshots Of Fight Night Champion For iPhone And iPod Touch
February 3, 2011
EA has really come out swinging in 2011. Their first big title of the new year was the absolutely stunning sci-fi horror game, Dead Space. Then they brought us the colorful Two Tribes developed matching game, Swap This! Now the prominent iOS game publisher has revealed that their popular boxing franchise, Fight Night, will be making its way to iPhone and iPod touch.
Details are still very scarce, but it's probably safe to say Fight Night Champion for iPhone and iPod touch will stick as close as possible to the franchise's roots, which has always been gorgeous graphics and tight gameplay. It will feature tap, flick, and gesture-based controls to jab, duck, weave, and move through the ring. It will also include 20 past and current champions, like Manny Pacquiao, Roy Jones Jr., Mike Tyson, and Muhammad Ali.
That's pretty much all we know at this point, but if the recent simultaneously release of Dead Space for iOS and Dead Space 2 for consoles is any indication, you should be able to expect Fight Night Champion to hit the App Store in early March, right around the time the console versions are available.
