Finger Trapping Has Never Been So Fake, Until Now!

Fingertrap ($0.99) by Mindfruit Interactive is a simulation of an old classic toy that we’ve all played with. This game allows the user to pretend two of their fingers are trapped. The longer they hold their fingers, the higher the score is. To make the game even more interesting, there are flying coins in the background. You have to try to catch coins with an available finger. When I was a kid, no coins appeared out of nowhere when I played with a finger trap.

The game does mimic what a finger trap would do. However, half the fun of a finger trap was actually having your fingers trapped. The coins in the background do offer an extra element to the game. But, the money can only be used to change the appearance of the finger trap or the background. The game really lacks an objective or greater goal.

Even though the graphics are catchy and the interface is pretty fun, for $.99 I would like to see a little more. Maybe in the future they will have an update that adds features, or perhaps they could drop the price.

Overall, “Fingertrap” mimics an old classic toy, that I think is much more fun in reality as opposed to simulation. Though if you’re looking to replace the real thing, and have a dollar to spare, you should check this out.
