iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter, Fluke HD, Futuregram, And More

Today's AGF list includes a dinosaur hunting game, a visually appealing virtual board game for iPad, a universal app that allows you to quickly and easily create reminders, and much more.

All app prices are subject to change at any time and without notice regardless of stated free duration. Price changes are solely under the control of the developers.

iPhone:

Army Lines ($1.99 -> Free): Send troops into battle via the popular line-drawing mechanic and defeat your enemies before they overrun your base. You can also plant special weapons by dragging them into the battlefield and then lifting your finger to activate them. The game features 11 environments, eight troop types, and Game Center integration.

Army Lines is available for free today only (02/11). It has a three-star rating and a total of 22 ratings.

Zombies Ala Mode™ ($.99 -> Free): Collect scoops of falling ice cream via tilt controls to fulfill orders. The quicker you are, the more money you make, but make sure the order is correct otherwise your pay will be docked. The game features three modes, 50 levels in career mode, and OpenFeint integration.

Zombies Ala Mode™ is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating and a total of nine ratings.

Spaceballs ($.99 -> Free): A space-themed marble shooter that requires you to simply launch colored balls from the middle of the screen to the outer rim in order to match three or more. If the balls reach the vortex, it's game over. It features four different modes, online leaderboards, and original music composed by Steve Lehmann.

Spaceballs is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating and a total of 1,983 ratings.

Imangi ($.99 -> Free): The word game that started it all for Imangi Studios. Slide rows and columns of letters across the screen in order to create as many words as possible. When you believe you have done the best you can do, submit your letters and watch as the points rack up. The game features four modes, three difficulty levels, and online leaderboards.

Imangi is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating and a total of 917 ratings. Universal:

Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter ($2.99 -> Free): Track down and shoot 16 different dinosaurs across six environments in this 3D first-person shooter. It features six weapon types, two modes, a trophy room, tracking tools, and online leaderboards.

Futuregram - Fast fun reminders ($.99 -> Free): Allows you to send task reminders, notes, or whatever else you need to remember quickly and easily. Just type up the message, set a delivery date, and send it off into the future! When the time comes, you will receive a notification for your task.

Futuregram - Fast fun reminders is available for free today only (02/11). It has a four-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 19 ratings.

Touch Icon Creator ($.99 -> Free): This handy little app creates personalized icons on your home screen that, when tapped, will allow you to quickly call, text, or email a friend or family member. The app requires javascript to be enabled in order to create the icon via the company's website. According to the developer, none of your personal information is shared, but make sure to do your own research if you are at all concerned.

Touch Icon Creator is available for free today only (02/11). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 71 ratings.

Angry Business Man ($.99 -> Free): A stylized running game where you must try to keep the business man centered in the screen by tilting your device and jump over the obstacles by tapping.

Angry Business Man is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating and a total of 18 ratings. iPad:

Fluke HD ($1.99 -> Free): A visually appealing virtual board game that borrows gameplay elements from classics like Snakes & Ladders, Sorry! and Ludo. The concept of the game is to get all four of your tokens from the starting point to the finish line before any of your opponents do. It features the ability to play with up to six players on the same device, or you can take your skills online via Game Center. It also includes three board types and 21 Game Center achievements.

Fluke HD is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-and-a-half-star rating and a total of 65 ratings. Developers: If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
  • It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
  • The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
  • The free version of your app must not include ads.
